CYPFER Taps Cybersecurity Innovator Jason Hogg as Executive Chairman

Global cybersecurity firm CYPFER has appointed serial entrepreneur and renowned cyber risk pioneer Jason Hogg as its Executive Chairman, signaling a major strategic move as the company doubles down on AI-driven innovation and global expansion.

Hogg, best known for leading Aon’s Cyber Solutions and developing the award-winning cyber analytics platform CyQu, brings decades of executive experience and over 700 issued patent claims to the role. His appointment comes as CYPFER looks to integrate a next generation AI-based sequel to CyQu, currently in development under Hogg’s leadership into its growing suite of services.

The new AI platform, which is patent pending, is positioned as a “generational shift” in cyber risk quantification and monitoring. Combined with CYPFER’s existing domain expertise in incident response and cyber resilience, the company is aiming to set a new benchmark in enterprise cybersecurity.

Jason Hogg brings to CYPFER a breadth of experience, expertise and credibility like none other. Having worked together in the past, I know his deep knowledge of governance, compliance, and operations will accelerate our next phase of growth.

said Daniel Tobok, CEO of CYPFER.

Hogg’s résumé includes stints as CEO of Blackstone’s B2R Finance, EVP at fintech firm Acima where he holds the sole patent for the Acima Ecosystem and executive roles at American Express and MBNA. He also founded Revolution Money, the Steve Case backed fintech acquired by Amex in 2010, where he later launched the Serve and Walmart Bluebird platforms and co-founded the Amex-LianLian joint venture in China.

Beyond corporate leadership, Hogg has shaped tech education as a longtime senior lecturer at Cornell University’s business school and as a founding faculty member at Cornell Tech.

CYPFER is one of the best-run operations I’ve seen. Partnering with Daniel and this team to deploy our next-generation AI platform is an honor and a huge opportunity to transform the industry.

said Jason Hogg, Executive Chairman of CYPFER.

Founded less than three years ago, Miami headquartered CYPFER has scaled rapidly, now employing more than 200 cybersecurity professionals across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and the Caribbean, provides global cybersecurity services including ransomware advisory, incident response, digital forensics, and cyber resilience.
