Fintech Firm MyBambu Expands to Larger HQ in West Palm Beach, Plans to Add 190 Jobs

MyBambu, a rising player in the financial technology space, has officially moved into a new, significantly larger headquarters in West Palm Beach and it’s bringing big job growth with it.

Now headquartered in a 35,000 square foot space at The Press, the redeveloped former Palm Beach Post building at 2751 South Dixie Highway, MyBambu has transitioned roughly 160 employees to the new facility. The company plans to hire another 190 people, bringing its total workforce to approximately 350.

This move is a milestone for us because we are getting ready to grow significantly.

said Doug Quay, founder and CEO of MyBambu.

Founded in 2016, MyBambu moved its headquarters from Memphis, Tennessee, to West Palm Beach in 2021, initially establishing a small office above a nightclub on Clematis Street. The company has since rapidly scaled operations, and its new lease represents one of the largest commercial real estate deals in Palm Beach County in recent years, according to the Business Development Board of Palm Beach County (BDB).

MyBambu provides a suite of financial services tailored to Hispanic and immigrant communities, including FDIC insured deposit accounts, linked Visa branded cards, and instant international money transfers to 18 Latin American countries, with most transfers completing in under 35 minutes. The company says 92% of its active U.S. users identify as Hispanic.

The 190 new jobs will span product development, customer care, operations, compliance, and marketing roles.

The Business Development Board, a nonprofit partially funded by public tax dollars, says MyBambu’s growth underscores a broader trend of fintech companies relocating to or expanding within Palm Beach County.

The more that come, the more density there is. And that creates even more opportunity for collaboration and innovation.

said Kelly Smallridge, president and CEO of the BDB.

The company’s leadership hinted at further announcements to come, though details remain under wraps. For now, MyBambu is focused on scaling operations and staffing its upgraded headquarters marking a win for the city’s efforts to brand itself as a tech-forward business destination.
