Downtown workers and residents in West Palm Beach could soon be riding electric bikes for a fraction of the cost. WPBgo, in partnership with the City of West Palm Beach, is rolling out a $30,000 E-Bike Voucher Program to make sustainable commuting more affordable.
The program offers 40 vouchers worth either $500 (standard) or $1,000 (income-qualified) toward the purchase of a new e-bike at West Palm Bikes. Winners will also receive a free helmet and bike lock.
Applications are open now and close at 11:59 p.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025. After the deadline, winners will be randomly selected through a lottery system.
Who’s Eligible?
Applicants must live or work in downtown West Palm Beach, be 18 or older, and not have received a voucher from a previous WPBgo program. If applying for an income-qualified voucher, proof of income will be required.
How It Works
- Apply Online before the September 12 deadline.
- Lottery Drawing determines winners after applications close.
- Eligibility Verification – proof of downtown residency or employment required.
- Voucher Issuance – winners receive a unique code via email or phone.
- Pick Up Your E-Bike – vouchers can only be redeemed at West Palm Bikes.
The voucher does not cover sales tax, accessories, or any amount beyond the voucher value.
City officials say the program aims to cut down on traffic congestion, reduce carbon emissions, and help residents save on transportation costs. An e-bike can eliminate the need for daily gas expenses, parking fees, and some car maintenance, while promoting a healthier commute.
