The City of West Palm Beach is rolling out a new professional development initiative aimed at helping local entrepreneurs sharpen one of their most critical, and often overlooked, skills: public speaking.
Called “Speak to Succeed: Public Speaking Mastery for Entrepreneurs” the four-week training series will run in February 2026 and is designed to help founders communicate more clearly, pitch more confidently, and present themselves with executive presence. The city is partnering with Roundtree Training & Consulting to deliver the program.
The series will be offered in a hybrid format, blending in-person and virtual sessions to accommodate working professionals. Sessions will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the following dates:
- February 3 (in person): Foundations of Public Speaking for Entrepreneurs
- February 10 (virtual): Crafting Your Entrepreneurial Value Proposition Communication
- February 17 (virtual): Mastering Delivery and Executive Presence
- February 25 (in person): Pitch Practice and Showcase
In-person sessions will be held at the Gaines Park Community Center in West Palm Beach.
The program is free and open to the public, though space is limited. Participants must attend at least three of the four sessions to receive a certificate of completion.
Leading the series is Dr. Deeawn Roundtree, CEO of Roundtree Training & Consulting, an executive leadership coach and trainer who specializes in communication strategy, leadership development, and organizational growth.
City officials say the initiative aligns with West Palm Beach’s broader effort to strengthen the local small business ecosystem by expanding access to practical, high-impact training.
Registration is now open, and interested entrepreneurs can sign up online.
Additional information is available through the city’s Office of Small Business Programs.
